Kedr Gets Nod From Bandcamp on ‘Best Albums Of Spring’

The Kedr train continues to roll, with yet another gong for her widely acclaimed ‘Your Need’ release from May. This time round, Bandcamp Daily have listed her record in their favourites from Spring, alongside the likes of Aldous Harding, Carla Geneve, Brijean & Faye Webster.

Author J Edward. Keys remarked that the “sharp streaks of neon synthesiser and bounding rhythms feel like someone emerging from a dark apartment into the blinding sunlight”. He ponders the overarching sense of positivity within the record, even when delving into some of the murkier numbers. Keys rounds to the conclusion that ‘Your Love’ “feels like a celebration, a batch of euphoric dance songs that pounce, leap & soar.”

You can read the rest of the review, alongside a bunch of other amazing LP’s here, and if you haven’t yet listened in, check ‘Your Need’ here.

Those lucky enough to have scored a ticket to MoMA PS 1 over the weekend bore witness to a commanding performance from Kedr. Next up is a spot on the gorgeously eclectic Visions Festival. Keep an eye out for future dates!
